Peninsula Area Community Transport Local transport in Cloughey & District area. Did you know that there is local transport that can pick you up at your front door, take you shopping, or for a day out and bring you back to your front door again? Peninsula Community Transport Ltd (PACT) is a local minibus company that provides transport for all individuals, community groups and associations from the Ards Peninsula. Based in Kircubbin, PACT organises weekly shopping trips to places such as Ards, Bangor, Ballymena, Lisburn, Newry and many more. There is a monthly lunch club you can get transport to take you to please like Le Winters (Ards), Daft Eddies (Killinchy), Butterfly Restaurant (Seaford) and The Quays (Portavogie). Community groups or associations can hire minibuses on a self-drive or with driver basis. Full training Minibus Driver Awareness (MiDAS) is provided for self-drive drivers. Each bus comes with fully comprehensive insurance, map, first aid kit and a full fuel tank. Please note: buses are not available for hire for private parties, companies or any profit making organisations. PACT has 2 x 12-seater and 1 x 16-seater accessible minibuses (Accessible minibuses include a passenger lift and an 'easy board' side step. Accessible buses are better to use for senior citizens, young children or anyone with a physical disability including wheelchair users). PACT are about to take ownership of a new 16 seater accessible minibus to replace our existing non accessible bus. This bus has been funded by the Ards Local Strategy Partnership to provide transport for the community living on the Ards Peninsula.
