The sculpture commissioned by the CDCA for the central plinth is now in position. It is a portland stone replica of a war-grave headstone illustrated with a relief silhouette of 2 children holding hands and was created by local sculptor Owen Crawford, and sponsored by the Arts Council for Northern Ireland.
A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Cloughey Somme Garden on Remembrance Day attended by Mayor Robin Drysdale and Local Councillor Angus Carson.
