Local playgrounds reprieved

Ards Council has dropped a controversial proposal to close several small playgrounds following vigorous campaigning by CDCA.  Kellie Armstrong, (CDCA Hon Sec) wrote a strong article that made headlines in the N'ards Chronicle.  It highlighted how outlying areas such as Ballygalget would be stripped of one of their few amenities - and be forced to travel to Portaferry or Cloughey just to go on the swings! 

This is another success for commonsense and for the CDCA which has established a reputation for effective lobbying and campaigning for improvements to Cloughey and District.
