On Tuesday 2 December 2008, the office bearers of Cloughey and District Community Association presented Mrs Gillian Wallace, Principal of Kirkiston Primary School with their copy of a 2008 Clean Coast Certificate. The Clean Coast Certificate was awarded in 2008 to the Association for the involvement of the Cloughey community, including Kirkiston Primary School, in keeping their beach clean and attractive to local families and visitors.
