Remembrance Day Wreath-Laying at Childrens Somme Garden Kerri Truesdale wore her brother's service medals to lay a wreath in memory of her great uncle Bertie Truesdale who was killed in the Second World War.
Early morning sun welcomed the 50 people who attended the early morning wreath-laying ceremony at Cloughey Childrens Somme Garden on Remembrance Day, Sunday 9th Nov 2009.
A colour party lowered flags as the last post was played by a bugler from Dundonald Community Orchestra after wreaths were laid on behalf of CDCA, Lower Ards Somme Association, Royal British Legion, and several other groups.
Wing Commander Joe Maclean was master of ceremonies. He introduced the other speakers - John Reid (who made a moving speech about the conditions and sacrifices endured by soldiers during the First World War) and Rev David Gray.
Crosses provided for people to commemorate loved ones at the Garden
Bugler from Dundonald Community Orchestra plays the Last Post at the ceremony.
