On Thursday 31st October 2019 a public meeting was held in Cloughey Pavilion and a committee was elected for the Cloughey Heritage Group with the purpose of trying to save the old Presbyterian Church in Cloughey. Various suggestions were put forward as to the possible use of the building. The main task is to source funding to make the building safe and useable. The hope is to save the building and turn it into a usable asset for ALL in the community. Everyone is invited to become a member of the group, in that way you will support the committee and be kept up to date with any progress made. Also you will have an input as to any future use the building may have.  If you are interested please contact the Chairman Clifford Donnell at

On Saturday 24th August 2019 friends and family joined together to dedicate a granite seat in memory of Eric Rainey MBE . It was Eric's wish to have a seat on the Warren a place he loved and felt in touch with nature. In his memory his wish has been granted and for all time to come we will be able to sit on Eric's seat and admire the view. Eric loved the environment and the Beach in particular and it is fitting that his wish has been granted for the benefit of us who can now enjoy it.
